There are many voices of women that have not yet been heard in the public sphere of the country - voices of women who inspire, open new horizons, show the way.
This is exactly the need that W-action aspires to highlight, empowering women's voices to be heard, strengthening their position as leaders in the public sphere.
A platform made by women for women, with the main goal to give them the floor, to connect them with the labor market, to bring them in contact with a number of important networks (event planners, companies, start-ups, etc...).
There are many voices of women that have not yet been heard – voices of women who inspire, open new horizons, show the way. This is exactly the need that W-action, an initiative of the Women Act Organization and Interweave, a strategy consulting, holistic marketing, communications and advertising agency, aspires to highlight, filling an important gap in the Greek public sphere: to empower the women’s voices to be heard, strengthening their position as leaders in the public debate.
With the need for a more inclusive society as a vehicle and the ultimate goal to enhance women’s representation in the public sphere, W-Action gives space to personal journeys to stand out, offering women the opportunity to access and participate in decision-making centers.
Regardless of age, years of experience or profession, Women Act and Interweave invite women to participate in the platform by creating their profile – while encouraging companies, agencies and organizations to seek, through it, their next partners, speaking mentors.
As May Zanni, co-founder and President of Women Act notes, “It is time for all this wealth of shared experiences and parallel paths to come to light, to be heard, to be the collective legacy for the present and tomorrow of women everywhere in Greece.”
“Women already have a strong presence in the public sphere – there is excellent ‘material’ around us, many capable, worthy, dynamic women in positions of responsibility who work hard and produce great work, providing inspiration and role models. In most cases, however, this presence is discreet, it does not have its rightful place in the public debate.
Our deep conviction in Interweave, where the female presence reaches 80%, is that the future is female. This is why W-Action is something very special for us – we feel it is our contribution to the community, our contribution to society: to give space for these stories to be told, for voices to be heard, strengthening the female presence in the public sphere – by utilizing this wonderful opportunity offered by technology that makes information visible to everyone and accessible to all”, emphasizes Aigli Balamatsi, CEO and Executive Strategy Director of Interweave.
